Savory Vegan Mushroom Burger
Ingredients
1 cup Mushrooms (Crimini or Oyster work well)
1 Heirloom Tomato
Arugala
Baby Kale
1/2 Yellow Onion
Pickle slices
Vegan Cheese slices (we prefer Kiss My Face "Smoked Gouda Slices")
Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Buns (or any sprouted grain buns you prefer)
Directions
- Saute onion in water or veggie broth for about 3-4 minutes or until translucent, set aside.
- Add mushrooms to same pan and saute for 4-5 minutes, add cheese to top and let melt a bit,
- Sauce the bun and start assembly:
- Layer with greens and heirloom tomato slices, salt and pepper to taste
- Add mushroom and melted cheese,
- Add a good layer of sauteed onions (and optional sundried tomato if you choose).
- Add pickles and your done.
Optional Toppings
Sun dried tomato can be added for another layer of flavor.
Add alfalfa sprouts to increase your greens!
